Punk Rock wasn't just an expansive, diverse genre of music. It also had a look and design to it that was also as unique as it was diverse. The logos represented here include everything from pirate and horror motifs, to political iconography. Greg Graffin once said a good punk rock logo was one that could easily be spray painted on the side of a building. I decided that letter heads don't count, even though some bands like the Buzzcocks, Minor Threat, Xray Spex, Misfits, Bad Brains, and Sex Pistols all have memorable word designs. I felt like including those would be too much, and kind of take away form the whole point of this list, which was to highlight the cool symbols, logos, and designs. If i missed some, please add them, with the name of the band and possibly the designer in the notes section. I'm sure no one will follow the rules and add all the wordmark fonts anyway, because rules arent Punk. so, fuck you ahead of time. Enjoy!
