Flash #39 Harley Quinn Variant
Cover by: Amanda Conner
The cover has nothing to do with the story inside, but gets a nod as regular Harley Quinn writer and artist Amanda Conner presents this variant cover. As for the actual story? An impostor is wreaking havoc while Barry Allen is stuck in the Speed Force. The issue goes on sale February 25, 2015.
Star Wars #1 Skottie Young Interlocking Covers
Cover by: Skottie Young
Skottie Young's "Baby/Young" variant covers for Marvel are a sub-genre all their own. While artist J. Scott Campbell will also have a connecting variant cover, Young's will likely be the one with more demand. These covers feature Leia, Darth Vader, and the group shot on three different covers and are part of Marvel's massive collectible launch for their new Star Wars title.
Superman #39 Harley Quinn Variant
Cover by: Amanda Conner
Another Harley Quinn Month variant cover and this one again features Harley Quinn writer/artist Conner who created this variant cover for Superman #39. There will be two other rarer, harder-to-find variant covers, but this Harley Quinn variant should be readily available when it goes on sale February 25. See the rest of the Harley Quinn Variant Month covers here.
Star Wars #1
Cover by: John Cassaday
While Disney is ramping up to Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Marvel will be launching a new Star Wars comic book series written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Cassaday. This is the regular cover of the first issue, which features 13 different variant covers. Marvel/Disney knows how to cash in on a brand, that's for sure!
Uncanny Avengers #1 Teaser Variant
Cover by: Daniel Acuna
Marvel kicks things off at the beginning of the year with a relaunch of their Uncanny Avengers series with long-time writer Rick Remender. The title will pick up following the events of Marvel's big AXIS comic book event with "all-new, all different Avengers" assembling together. One of the Avengers' oldest foes returns with a terrible secret and will shatter the lives of two members of the squad. The first issue, along with five variant covers, launches in January 2015.
Ant-Man #1
Cover by: Mark Brooks
In anticipation of Marvel Studios's feature length film, Ant-Man, the comic book division will be launching a new title beginning in January 2015. The series will follow Scott Lang, who is called upon by the Superior Iron Man with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to turn around the damage done by former Ant-Man, Hank Pym (what with inventing Ultron and all). The series launches January 2015 and will be accompanied by six variant covers.
Justice League #39 Harley Quinn Variant
Cover by: Dustin Nguyen
In early November 2014, DC Comics announced that February 2015 would be Harley Quinn variant cover month. We've included a few titles in this collection, and you can find the full list of Harley Quinn Month covers here. Meanwhile, Justice League #39 will conclude "The Amazo Virus" story arc with haunting consequences. In addition to the regular cover and the Harley Quinn variant, there will also be two other variant covers on sale February 18.
Deadpool's Art of War #4 (of 4)
Cover by: Scott Koblish
Leave it to a Deadpool title to incorporate an iconic painting with the character's subversive humor. In the final issue of the four-part Art of War series, Deadpool surfs The Great Wave off Kanagawa, originally printed by Japanese artist Hokusai. As for the actual comic, we'll find out if Deadpool's war will destroy Earth... or make him a best-selling author. The issue goes on sale in January 2015.
Rocket Raccoon #7
Cover by: Skottie Young
As Rocket continues to blast himself (literally and figuratively) around the cosmos trying to make amends for his past discretions, his next stop will find him on Winter Planet where, duh, it's winter all the time. The issue goes on sale in January 2015.
Guardians of the Galaxy #23
Cover by: Christian Ward
This Brian Michael Bendis Marvel Comics series, which launched before the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, continues to evolve with Venom taking a trip home and growing increasingly unstable. His recklessness may end up being bad news for the Guardians.
